Tour Itinerary:

Take this full day excursion to Turpan where you will first visit Jiaohe Ruins, originally built about 2,000 years ago. Then visit a local residents home at Grape Valley. After lunch, continue with a visit to the ruins of Gaochang. In its heyday, Gaochang was a great city built up by the business and trade that came through its gates. Now most of the ruins are gone, but enough remain to give a feeling of the true size this majestic city once was. After, visit the Baizeklik Buddha Caves. On the way you can take a photo on the road side with Flaming Mountains named so because in the evenings the red clay mountains reflect the heat and glow of the desert and appear to 'burn'. The Baizeklik Thousand Buddha Caves are one of the largest Buddhist 'grotto' sites in Xinjiang. After dinner at local restaurant, transfer back Urumqi.
